Onchan Elim Church was formed in 1983 and based, for the last 25years, in Park Rd, Douglas. From its small beginnings is has grown into a thriving, growing, multinational church.
It will move into thebrand new Elim Family Centre, Second Ave, Onchan in the summer of 2009 and plans to use this new, modern facility, to further serve the communities in and around Onchan.
Although we are a Pentecostal church, we enjoy good relations with, and work closely together, the other Christian denominations on the Island.
The name “Elim” is taken from the book of Exodus in the bible. It was an oasis in the desert where the Israelites refreshed themselves by wells of water, in the shade of Palm trees (Exodus 15:27). We believe the new Elim Family Centre will provide a place of refreshment to all sections of the community, whether old or young, each can enjoy the refreshing Christian message of hope and new life.
We are therefore looking forward serving & supporting you for another 25 years…
